Remember summer days at pool-side? Warm sunshine, pleasant breezes, and cool, clear refreshing water?   Kids splashing and laughing, adults playing along or visiting, enjoying a morning or evening lap swim, in a casual, family-friendly atmosphere?  Those days are not a thing of the past!

Ridglea Swimming Pool Association(or RPA for short) is the last of the 50’s era private neighborhood swim clubs in Fort Worth. It’s located conveniently on the west side, just off of I-30, in the North Ridglea neighborhood. Its members come from all over town, and many are the 3rd and 4th generations of their families to enjoy this wonderful facility.

The main pool is Olympic-size, with a diving well. They also have a generously-sized junior pool. Both are surrounded by extensive deck, shaded patio and lawn areas.  The concession counter offers a variety of packaged snacks, beverages and treats, and members are welcome to bring their own food(no glass, no alcohol) or have food delivered. They also have charcoal grills available for member use.  The basic bathhouse provides restrooms, dressing and shower facilities as well as changing tables.

Swimming and safe enjoyment of the water are the order of the day at RPA.  Open swimming for all ages is included in membership, as are group lessons for children ages 3 and up. The Ridglea Rockets swim team is open to ages 5 and up and meets from early June through late July, with registration normally starting mid-spring. The Ridglea Masters group is an off-shoot of swim team and meets early mornings for adult “serious swimmers”. The Adult Swim program is for members 21 and over, and meets during the hour prior to opening, 6 days a week, for a leisurely(or more serious) swim without kiddos in the pool.

Both pools are under the watch of lifesaving/first-aid/CPR-certified lifeguard staff at

all times.  There is a hydrolift for individuals who need it for entry in and exit from the pool, and wide steps for those who have difficulty with pool ladders.  Other accessibility amenities include parking and ramps, as well as an alternate entrance, as needs require.
